Some frequently asked questions and helpful tips to get you started with SG Online.

Activities

Yes, you can edit or delete any rides you've logged. Simply navigate to the ride entry in your profile, and you'll find options to modify or remove it as needed.

You can upload GPS data by selecting the "Upload GPX" option when logging a ride. Choose your GPX file from your device, and SG will automatically extract the relevant ride information for you. Alternatively, you can also input ride stats manually. We're working on improved GPS functionality in the upcoming mobile app for seamless activity logging.

Yup. By making your logged ride public or explicitly sharing it privately, other users can view and download the associated GPX files from your ride details page.

Bikes & Maintenance

Anything and everything. You have full control over your service schedule - create your own or use existing templates submitted by other riders. You'll also get reminders based on hours ridden or time passed since the last service.

Yes! You can add and manage multiple bikes in your profile. Each bike can have its own maintenance schedule, ride logs, and other details. This is especially useful for riders who own different types of bikes or share bikes with family members.

Absolutely. You can create custom maintenance tasks and schedules based on your bike's specific needs. Whether it's regular oil changes, tire replacements, or more specialized services, you have full control over how and when maintenance is tracked.

Yes, SG will send you reminders for upcoming maintenance tasks based on your defined schedules. You can choose to receive notifications via email or within the app to ensure you never miss an important service.

Yes, you can log past maintenance activities for your bikes. This allows you to keep a complete history of all services performed, even if they were done before you started using SG. Simply enter the details of the maintenance activity, including date, type of service, and any notes you want to add.

Events

Yes! Whether you're organizing a casual outride or a full-on race, SG allows any user to submit private events limited to shared users and groups. Reach out to us via the Events Page to get started with public event hosting.

Absolutely. When creating an event, you can choose to make it private and share it only with specific users or groups. This is perfect for organizing rides or gatherings with friends, clubs, or local communities without making the event public.

Forums

Our forums are community-driven spaces where you can ask questions, share tips, or connect with fellow riders. Forum categories are also community driven, so we look forward to your feedback as to what spaces you would like to be added.

Profile & Account

Yes, you have full control over your privacy settings. You can choose what information is visible on your profile, who can see your activities, and manage your notification preferences. We prioritize your privacy and provide options to customize your experience on SG Online.

Riding Spots

Absolutely. We welcome community contributions! You can suggest a new spot through the “Submit Spot” feature on the riding spots page. Our team will review and approve submissions before they go live.

No. While we encourage community submissions, our team also curates and verifies riding spots to ensure quality and safety for all users. We review each submission to maintain the integrity of our riding spots database. A lot of these spots have been visited and ridden by us, SG representatives or trusted community members.

Yes! Users can leave ratings and reviews for riding spots they have visited. This feedback helps other riders make informed decisions about where to ride and contributes to the overall community experience on SG Online.

Not yet. Currently we rely on forum posts to help riders find spots that suit their skill level and preferences. We are working on implementing advanced filtering options in the future to enhance the riding spot discovery experience.

Social & Community

Yup. We don't claim to be the next big social media goliath or anything. But connecting with your preferred riders is important. You can still interact with anyone through forums and other public resources, but sharing can be limited to your connections or users you have groups/clubs in common with.

You can explore public forums, events, riding spots and many other resources where there are user activity and connect with these like-minded riders by visiting their profiles. Joining clubs is also a great way to meet new people who share your interests. Or get your buddy's username and send them a connection request directly!

Yes, SG Online includes a private messaging feature that allows you to chat directly with other users. You can send and receive messages, share ride details, and coordinate meetups all within the platform. As these chats are private, they won't appear in public forums or activity feeds, and so you may use this feature to share external links and information if you want to move your conversation onto an external messaging service.
